Eligibility Criteria for LIC Bima Sakhi

  • Only women applicants.

  • Indian nationality with valid documents.

  • Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th standard pass.

  • Age Limit: 18 to 70 years at the time of application.

  • Must be willing to undergo training and promote LIC policies in local areas.

Documents Required for Bima Sakhi Application

To apply for LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, women must upload scanned copies of the following:

  • Aadhaar Card or PAN Card (Age Proof)

  • Ration Card or Utility Bill (Address Proof)

Payment & Stipend Structure for Bima Sakhi Trainees

Women enrolled in the Bima Sakhi Yojana will receive a fixed stipend over three years:

Commission Earnings Calculation

Women can increase their income by actively selling insurance policies:

  • Base stipend + commission = monthly income

  • Example:

    • Policy sold worth ₹50,000 may offer ~₹1,000 as commission.

    • Selling 5 such policies monthly = ₹5,000 commission

    • Combined income in first year = ₹7,000 (stipend) + ₹5,000 (commission) = ₹12,000/month

This hybrid earnings model enables women to grow financially and build sustainable careers.

Career Progression After Training

After completing 3 years of training, women will be formally inducted as LIC Agents. In some cases, graduates (B.A. or higher) may qualify for Development Officer positions based on performance and regional availability.

Note: Bima Sakhis are not regular LIC employees and thus not eligible for regular LIC employee benefits. However, they enjoy flexible work, commission-based income, and local community leadership.
